Hand Plastic - Hand Rejuvenation
As we get older we become more and more focused on revitalizing and taking care of our face, forgetting how important our hands play in our appearance. It is a fact that the texture of the skin of the hands can betray our age and often may make us look older, as the hands are the most exposed to the sun part of our body. As we grow older our skin thins, exposing veins, tendons and bones to a much greater degree. Aging in the hands is very difficult to treat, precisely because of the complex structure, the number of bones, tendons and muscles in the hands. So this treatment requires specialized knowledge and experience & the appropriate plastic surgeon.
Hand Rejuvenation Treatments
Popular has become the rejuvenation of the hand, as people are increasingly informed about the treatments fillers, laser, IPL etc. In our practice we offer the new revolutionary way of rejuvenation hands, Fat Transfer. Fat transfer gives volume to the upper part of the hand and makes tendons and bones less obvious, while hiding visible veins. In our practice we use transfer fat in combination with special laser IPL, to remove spots, presenting excellent results.
Regeneration of Extreme Hand with Fat Transfer
Under local anesthesia a small amount of fat is collected from a distinct part of your body (typical areas used include the inside of the thighs, abdomen and ribs).
The fat is then stored and injected into the back of the hands through a tiny tube, under local always anesthesia. The cannula is specialized to avoid any damage to the arteries and reduce tissue breakdown to a minimum. There are no scars and this is yet another walk-in procedure, i.e. without hospital stay and without interruption from everyday life.
Transfer of Fat to Hands
Once the fat is incorporated into its tissue in the back of the hands, it remains there permanently (as long as the weight is maintained). This contrasts with the filler, FILLER-treatments that need to be repeated every 6-9 months.
Each patient's body reacts differently, but the results usually last for one to two years.
Recovery after hand rejuvenation
There is no downtime associated with this procedure. It is a non-invasive, walk-in procedure, the operation is performed under local anesthesia and leaves no scars. Depending on the amount of fat collected during liposuction and the area, your doctor may advise you to undergo a course of MILD massage that helps your healing. This will be explained during the session and after treatment.
